VFS Global Engages 600+ Agents in India Roadshow, Highlights UK eVisa & Early Visa Planning

Bengaluru: VFS Global has successfully conducted a six-city travel trade roadshow across India, engaging over 600 travel agents and tour operators ahead of the peak summer travel season.

The roadshow covered key cities including Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Kochi, Mumbai, Chandigarh, and Delhi, aiming to strengthen collaboration with the travel trade and enhance awareness of evolving visa processes.

Focus on UK eVisa Rollout

A major highlight of the initiative was the introduction of the UK’s new eVisa system, now live across all visa categories in the United Kingdom.

VFS Global provided detailed briefings to trade partners on:

  • Updated procedures under the eVisa framework
  • Application process changes
  • Addressing industry queries amid rising demand for UK travel

Encouraging Early Visa Applications

The company also emphasized the importance of early visa planning, noting that:

  • Schengen Area countries now accept applications up to 180 days in advance
  • Early applications help avoid last-minute delays during peak seasons

VFS Global reiterated that visa appointments are free of charge and must only be booked via its official website, reinforcing its #ApplyInAdvance and #DoNotFallForFraud campaigns.

Rising Demand for Premium Services

The roadshow highlighted growing interest in personalised visa solutions, including:

  • Visa At Your Doorstep (VAYD) for select Schengen countries and Saudi Arabia
  • On Demand Mobile Visa (ODMV) services for UK applicants

These services cater to travellers seeking convenience, privacy, and flexibility, reflecting changing consumer preferences.

Industry Collaboration Strengthens

Commenting on the initiative, Yummi Talwar, COO – South Asia, VFS Global, said:
“Our roadshows provide an important platform to engage directly with the travel trade, address challenges, and enhance the overall applicant experience.”

The strong participation across all six cities underscores the close collaboration between VFS Global and the travel trade, supporting smoother visa processes and improved traveller experiences.
