Bengaluru: The Department of Tourism Goa, Government of Goa, recently hosted a travel trade delegation from Almaty as part of a familiarization (FAM) visit aimed at strengthening international tourism partnerships.
The visit forms part of Goa’s strategic efforts to position itself as a preferred global destination and expand its footprint in emerging international markets. The delegation included leading tour operators and travel professionals from Kazakhstan, who were given an immersive experience of Goa’s diverse tourism offerings.
During the FAM trip, participants explored Goa’s renowned beaches, cultural heritage, hospitality infrastructure, and experiential tourism segments, gaining first-hand insights into the destination’s appeal for international travellers.
The initiative is expected to enhance collaboration between Indian and Kazakh travel trade stakeholders, encouraging increased tourist flow from Central Asia to Goa. It also reflects the state’s continued focus on diversifying its source markets and promoting sustainable tourism growth.
Such engagements play a vital role in building long-term partnerships and strengthening Goa’s position in the global tourism landscape.
