Lucknow – The Uttar Pradesh Chapter of the Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO), under the leadership of Prateek Hira, organised a full-day certified workshop on “AI Applications for Tourism Management” on March 30, 2026, at the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) campus.
The workshop saw participation from over 50 travel trade professionals, highlighting the growing importance of technology-driven solutions in the tourism sector.
Focus on AI in Tourism
The session was led by AI expert Rocky Jagtiani, who provided practical insights into the use of artificial intelligence in tourism operations, customer engagement, and business growth strategies.
The workshop aimed to equip industry professionals with the knowledge and tools needed to adapt to the rapidly evolving digital landscape.
Distinguished Participation
The inaugural session was attended by Prof. Sushma Ghildiyal as Chief Guest, while Pawas Parsoon represented the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, as Guest of Honour.
The programme was coordinated by Prof. Praveen Singh Tana, with certificates awarded by Prof. Jyoti Rohila Rana, P. Vijay Sarthi, and Subhash Kapoor.
