Bengaluru: Qatar Airways has announced the partial resumption of flight operations between March 18 and March 28, 2026, following disruptions caused by the temporary closure of Qatari airspace. While full operations are yet to resume, the airline has introduced a restricted flight schedule to support affected passengers and maintain essential connectivity. The airline confirmed that current operations are being conducted within designated safe corridors, with only a limited number of flights operating to and from Doha. These flights remain subject to regulatory approvals and ongoing airspace developments. Passengers with confirmed bookings are being contacted directly with updated travel information. As part of the revised network, Qatar Airways is operating services to key Asian destinations including Bangkok, Singapore, Tokyo, Seoul, and Hong Kong. In India, the airline continues to maintain limited connectivity across nine major cities—Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Ahmedabad, Amritsar, and Thiruvananthapuram—offering some relief to passengers on one of its busiest international routes. To support travellers impacted by the disruption, the airline has introduced flexible options for tickets booked between February 28 and March 28, 2026. Passengers can avail up to two free date changes for travel until April 30, 2026, or opt for a full refund on unused tickets. Qatar Airways has also advised passengers to travel only with confirmed bookings, as schedules remain dynamic and subject to change. Additionally, select non-Doha connecting flights have been arranged for specific passengers, although these are not available for public booking. The airline reiterated that a complete return to normal operations will depend on clearance from the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority regarding the safe reopening of national airspace. Qatar Airways emphasised that passenger safety and operational security remain its highest priorities as it continues to monitor the situation and gradually expand services.
