Qatar Airways to Operate Special Flights to India, Embassy Assists Stranded Passengers

Doha: The Embassy of India in Qatar has announced that Qatar Airways will operate three additional flights to India over the next two days, providing relief to stranded passengers amid ongoing travel disruptions.

The scheduled flights will connect Qatar with key Indian cities including New Delhi, Mumbai, and Kochi, helping facilitate the movement of Indian nationals awaiting return.

In an official advisory, Qatar Airways urged passengers to book tickets and stay updated through its website, mobile application, or authorized travel agents. The airline also emphasized that travellers should only arrive at the airport if they possess a valid and confirmed ticket to avoid congestion and inconvenience.

The Embassy of India in Qatar stated that it is actively coordinating with local authorities and the airline to support stranded Indian nationals, particularly those facing urgent or emergency situations.

Additionally, the embassy is assisting passengers with alternative travel arrangements, including transit via the Salwa Border into Saudi Arabia, where temporary transit visas with a validity of 96 hours are being issued to facilitate onward travel.

The initiative comes as part of ongoing efforts to ensure the safe return of Indian citizens and manage travel challenges caused by regional aviation disruptions.
