Doha – Qatar: The Embassy of India in Doha has confirmed that Qatar Airways operated 25 flights to India between the 20th and 22nd of this month, facilitating the travel of approximately 7,750 Indian nationals.
The large-scale movement highlights the airline’s continued role in supporting connectivity between Qatar and India, particularly during periods requiring coordinated travel arrangements. Passengers have been advised to book tickets through official channels, including the airline’s website, mobile app, or authorized travel agents.
In its advisory, the Embassy has urged the Indian community in Qatar to strictly follow all guidelines issued by local authorities. Emphasis has been placed on adhering to safety and security protocols in workplaces and public spaces, ensuring safe conduct within buildings and shared environments.
With educational institutions in Qatar gradually resuming physical classes, the Embassy has also requested students and parents to remain informed about emergency response procedures. This includes awareness of shelter-in-place measures within school premises to ensure preparedness in case of unforeseen situations.
The Embassy further confirmed that the Ambassador recently met with a group of parents whose children are scheduled to appear for key Indian competitive examinations such as JEE and NEET. Coordination is ongoing with the National Testing Agency to provide timely updates and necessary support to affected students.
To assist the Indian community, the Embassy continues to operate a dedicated Control Room along with helplines, email, and WhatsApp services to address queries and concerns. Officials have reiterated their commitment to ensuring the safety, well-being, and smooth travel of Indian nationals in Qatar.
This development underscores the importance of strong aviation connectivity and diplomatic coordination in supporting international travel and community welfare.
