Akasa Air Gradually Restores Middle East Flights, Extends Waivers for Affected Passengers

Bengaluru: Akasa Air has announced the gradual restoration of select flight services across the Middle East following a continued safety assessment amid the ongoing regional situation.

The airline confirmed that flights between Riyadh and Mumbai have resumed operations. In addition, Akasa Air continues to operate services connecting Jeddah with major Indian cities including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Kochi, and Kozhikode.

However, flights to and from Abu Dhabi, Doha, and Kuwait City remain suspended until March 21, 2026, as the airline continues to closely monitor the evolving situation.

To support affected passengers, Akasa Air has extended its waiver policy on cancellation and rescheduling charges for bookings to and from these destinations until March 31, 2026. Travellers can opt for a full refund, which will be processed within seven days, or reschedule their travel at no additional cost.

The airline emphasised that all operations are subject to prevailing conditions and ongoing safety evaluations, and schedules may change accordingly.

Passengers are advised to check their flight status before heading to the airport and contact the airline’s 24×7 customer care centre for assistance. Akasa Air reiterated that the safety and well-being of passengers and crew remain its highest priority during this period of disruption.
