Bengaluru, 13 April: Indian Railways has approved the introduction of the Mumbai–Bengaluru Vande Bharat Sleeper service, significantly reducing travel time between Pune and Bengaluru to approximately 13 hours. The new train will operate between Mumbai and Bengaluru, passing through key cities including Pune, Solapur, and Wadi. Major Time Reduction Currently, trains such as the Udyan Express and Coimbatore Express take between 18 to 19 hours on the Pune–Bengaluru route. The new Vande Bharat Sleeper is expected to cut travel time by nearly five hours, offering a faster overnight journey. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw confirmed the approval, stating that the service will enhance passenger convenience on this high-demand corridor.
